"Umami Ware" first review
Karan is a Creative Director/ Visual Designer with 6+ years of experience in Digital Art Direction, Branding and Print Design. His design style tends to be visually rich and memorable.
This was a truly unique and original site. Its not traditionally pretty and nor are there any cinematic visuals to entice you. In fact, at first glance I wasnt even sure about the colour palette until I remembered what Umami meant.
This makes it all the more amazing that the design team has managed to create such an immersive experience relying only on animation and content. It grabs your attention right from the pre-loader and doesnt let go till the last page. The various animations in each section keep you on your toes as youre not sure whats coming next.
Its genuinely refreshing to see something so distinctive and original. A massive thumbs up from me.
