Knowledge of idea. Well forgotten old

What comes first Knowledge or Idea?

In other words what you should do first? Learn and then based on this knowledge to develop an original idea?

Or first you need to admire the idea and only then to acquire the knowledge to implement it.

Not long ago one interesting case has shown that the idea is preliminary then the knowledge. The conclusion is simple: not only our educational system is wrong but we also have to examine our entire attitude.
